Sunnies at the ready, neon is here and brighter than ever. Whether you are a fluorescent fan or nah, it’s clear that more neon shades are hitting the fashion scene this year. Thanks to Chanel Iman and Ashley Graham, whom have styled their bright looks beautifully, it looks like vibrant shades are here to stay. But what about activewear?
Look, I wasn’t convinced at first. What’s more in-your-face than neon activewear? But then again… why the heck not! It’s not everyday black and white, let’s add some colour to the gym wardrobe and by colour I mean neon. Here’s some neon activewear pieces that’ll make you psyched to hit the gym.
But first take a look at some shots I got wearing my favourite neon set.
I am a huge fan of NEU Apparel, catch my blog I wrote for them, I love how fun yet comfortable their designs are so my eyes (literally) lit up when I caught a glimpse of their new neon collection. I had to try it!
Go hard or go home, I bought their matching Barbie Racer set feeling oh so confident. Not going to lie, I forgot how bright it would look together when I opened my delivery.
Besides it’s colour being a shock, I was pleasantly surprised by it’s quality. Buttery soft material, perfect stretchy yet firm mix, strong waistband on the leggings and flattering logo contour.
The sports bra / crop top, however you want to describe it, has a stylish halter neck which isn’t as tight as it looks. However, I would recommend sizing up to avoid any risks.
Would I work out wearing this? Absolutely, but probably not together. I’m here to join top and bottom to make a statement as athleusire, but as activewear, I would team the sports bra with black leggings vice versa. Coming from someone who is dipping their toes into the neon trend, that’s just my preference and what I would feel comfortable with whilst working out. But hey, who knows, I might become a neon fanatic soon and you’ll catch me wearing both to the gym. Trust you wouldn’t miss.
